cozydita 's review for:
The ABC Murders
by Agatha Christie
I was craving some good old classic mystery, so I felt that Agatha Christie will be perfect and because it's a duet of Hercules Poirot and Captain Hastings I expected a lot, but unfortunately, this one is underwhelming for me, but still it's an entertaining read, a classic mystery always fun to read.
What I like:
- The plot, well it's Agatha Christie book, great plot always guaranteed
- The story, it's engaging and captivating, I enjoy guessing who's the murderer.
- There's something a bit different than other Agatha Christie's books that I've read, so it's interesting.
What I don't like:
- The POV most is from Hasting's POV, at first I was excited, but Hasting didn't do anything much in this book, so it was a let down for me.
- There's a lot of waiting in this story. I was expected full investigation like Poirot or Hasting did in other books, so again it was a let down for me
Recommended: If you're craving a fun entertaining classic mystery, go for it.
