Heist Royale by Kayvion Lewis
3.0
After absolutely loving Thieves’ Gambit last year, I was so excited for the release of the sequel. This is a another fun and fast-paced instalment with multiple heists and high stakes. Set six months after the original Gambit, Heist Royale sees Ross and Devroe on opposite sides of yet another Gambit to keep their own families safe.
Whilst I did enjoy this book (and read it mostly in one sitting), it felt a lot more predictable than the first book and nothing about it shocked me. Thieves’ Gambit placed a lot more time on the planning and execution of the heists which was my favourite part but, in the sequel, it felt like they were being rushed through. This isn’t really a book that will stick with me, but I’m definitely interested in reading Lewis’ future work!
