A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine

Did not finish book. Stopped at 65%.

I started this despite sci-Fi not being my genre of choice when it became my book club’s pick… I was happy to try something new. Although I really bought into the characters and ultimately wanted to know what happened to them, I really struggled when it came to having the book hold my attention - the language, being an alien one - doesn’t help, the character names were very similar and therefore it was hard to remember who was who in some cases and in the end I decided it was just too much like hard work!
