Did not finish book. Stopped at 81%.
god this was so disappointing. if i forced myself to finish it’d probably be rated two stars. the characters were all so frustrating to follow and it was difficult to root for anyone for a reason besides agreeing with their motives. carly was insufferable and her pov was so beyond annoying to follow. with the other pov it felt like NOTHING was happening and again, couldn’t connect to anyone. the events that the synopsis talk about don’t even happen until the five hour mark so for the first half of the book you’re just waiting for something to finally happen and are building unnecessary background for characters you couldn’t care less about. i empathized with the victims but there was no other feeling there for me. i was looking so forward to this but alas, not my thing at all.
