If you watched The Perfect Couple and love romance stories, this book is for you. Christina Lauren’s writing is easy to read and her characters and lovable and funny. Personalities are very strong with each of the characters that it felt like I knew them all personally. Even though the romance story itself wasn’t anything super new, I loved the creative approach of people who are married but total strangers having to fake their actual marriage. It’s just chaotic and wild enough to make the whole story interesting from the start. The focus on family drama and money was super interesting. Of course the most eye roll thing was the way Liam and Anna lived together for a long time as married strangers and never once hooked up but the second they go on a tropical vacation it’s like they are in love at first sight. That’s probably the only unrealistic thing they took me out of the already unlikely scenario that was this entire book, but I loved it anyway.
Moderate: Cancer, Emotional abuse, Classism
