The End Run by Christy Hayes

4.0

This book is in ways a lot like the other romance books. A athlete and a quirky smart girl. That did not make this book a awful read.
Jenna tutors athletes and only athletes. Zach isn't the typical high school jock who Jenna thought him to be. He doesn't drink much, makes his home work and gets good grades. Except for one subject, he asks for the help of Jenna.
Zack has his life all planed out and the girl. He wants to marry his girlfriend of 6 years, only that backlashed hard when he found out she was dating his brother. Yeah indeed his brother.
Jenna is as real as they can be with Zack, he isn't used to that but finds it refreshing.
At thanksgiving they supported each other end went together to both family's. Jenna told him about her secret why she tutors jocks. A little while back Jenna went through a traumatic event, she now finds herself guilty.
The heat between them grow hotter and hotter, Zack shoots his shot when Jenna is found under a mistletoe. Jenny is scared of being the rebound of his now ex girlfriend. Feelings get involved end a love story is in the making.
The growth of both mc at the end was really visible and a lovely way to end a book. I loved that the relationship started as friends and a smudgy kiss ;)

I enjoyed this book, I did cringe at some scenes and sentences.
