I just finished Arcana Academy by Elise Kova and would give it a solid 4 stars. The world and magic system really pulled me in. I loved the idea of magical tarot cards and how they shaped the story. It felt fresh and creative, and the academy setting had the kind of intrigue I like in fantasy romance. Still, something about the pacing or flow didn’t quite work for me. Whenever I put the book down, I hesitated to pick it back up, even though I was interested in the story and characters. But once I was reading, I enjoyed the tension, the twists, and the way things developed between Clara and Kaelis. Overall, it’s an entertaining start to the series with a lot of potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
