The Do-Over by T.L. Swan

Well...
I thought Jameson was the biggest douche out of the four of these dickheads but turned out Christopher wins The Miles Brother Biggest Dickhead Award!
Congratulations I guess!
Like when you are reading a book and thinking that Christian fucking Grey is less self involved than this piece of shit you know you've reached peak knobhead status!
Honestly these books are legit terrible, to me they read like Elon Musk/Real Life Billionaire fan fiction.
Why then did I binge read them all in four days?
Well, perverse fascination I guess! I honestly wanted to see if they could possibly get any worse. Answer? They could.
I enjoy a good billionaire romance from time to time but the MMC needs to have some kind of idea how a real person behaves. The ones where they are super philanthropic and respectful of the average Joe are my favourites.
These fuckwits?
Christopher's inner monologue is 100% what I think the inside of Elon Musks head sounds like and that's not a place anyone wants to be. The way he thought/spoke about people just doing their jobs was frankly disgusting.
If I was Hayden I'd have run from this piece of shit and never looked back. Especially when he comes out with gems like:
"The last thing I need is another woman busting my balls."
or
“There’s no fucking point. I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. It won’t work.”
“Why not?”
“Because I need sex!”
And while on the topic of the women in his and his brother's life, I found the fact that mommy dearest makes an appearance in each book to offer pearls of wisdom to her disgusting sons to be laughable. I mean we are told countless times that they were sent to boarding school from a super young age so she didn't raise them so her talking about how so and so was such a way as a child is ridiculous.
Also, Eddie somehow didn't age. He was 14 when Christopher met him and after a year of travelling and a few months home, he meets him again and he is still 14! Asking Eddie to call him dad also made me want to hurl. The epilogues for this series are usually the best part of an overall shit show but I'm afraid to start this one because a 14 year old homeless boy who worked in a bar at night calling this piece of shit dad is making me want to punch things.
Anyways, thank goodness it's over. They were all on KU/free on Audible and I was in a terrible mood this week so they served to allow me to really dig into that. So, they didn't cost me anything and I got to wallow!
