Pretty good installment in the historical romance genre. A few quibbles: Spoiler the author has a bad habit of dropping in characters without any explanation, then acting like the reader should be familiar with them and their respective back stories. It's a bit confusing in historical romances, when people are going by their names and their titles. Also the last part of the book, when the author decided she needed to wrap up this "mystery" that had been hanging over the main characters' heads the entire time? Oof, that dragged. I'm also feeling generous today so I'm not deducting a full star like I normally do for one of my least-favorite tropes - the Suprise!Pregnancy.
