The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun

5.0

I loved this MM romance so much, y’all. It was so f*cking vulnerable. I’m not sure I’ve read ANY romance that focuses so much on mental health. All aspects of it too - therapy, medication, expressing what you need to feel safe in a moment of panic or a depressive episode, the patience and care that’s needed from your partner. I related so much to our MCs’ struggles. Absolutely loved the neurodiversity representation, the LGBTQ+ representation, and the fact Alison tackles societal gender norms. LOVE TO SEE IT.

Charlie and Dev - UGH!!!! I’m obsessed. Love how their relationship unfolded. Loved the focus on platonic, as well as romantic love and the reality dating show premise. The writing was just so good, y’all. Great spice too. Surprising literally no one, I BAWLED at the end. This is a great book. Do yourself a favor and read it if you haven’t.
