What a messed up, but fascinating story! [b:The Collector|243705|The Collector|John Fowles|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1394828024l/243705._SY75_.jpg|1816452] tells the story of a kidnapping, from the perspective of both the kidnapper and the young woman he keeps locked up. It's interesting to see how her behaviour swings from one extreme to another and the things she thinks about while imprisoned. I didn't really enjoy the long soliloquies about 'what is art?' and all that. I was more interested in the interactions between the two.

It also reminded me of the book I just read, [b:What Lies Between Us|48133801|What Lies Between Us|John Marrs|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1576829724l/48133801._SY75_.jpg|73358163].
