This book was so whimsical and cozy! I loved every second of this Rumpelstiltskin retelling.
Princess Giselle is the victim of a first-born bargain. And even worse? The evil fae sorcerer who tricked her mother never comes to claim her. After her 40th birthday, she sets out to find her “Malediction” and demand that he end her curse. She’s in for the shock of her life when the evil fae sorcerer turns out to be a nameless fae who is essentially the exact opposite of that.
We then fall into a whimsical story of magic & magical bonds, curses, shared dreams, banter, a sentient house, a talking cat, a slow burn, and some spice - all wrapped into the coziest fantasy romance. ✨
As I mentioned about, there is a sentient house. Be prepared for Skymallow to be one of your favorite characters of the book! Also, I forgot to mention that “Malediction” has cat ears and a tail. He may be able to keep his outward composure on his face, but those ears and the tail give him away every time! 🐈
I can’t say enough good things about this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish! Thank you so much to A.J. Lancaster for the opportunity to read this ARC!
