The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn
5.0
Classic JQ, and an excellent follow-up to Because of Miss Bridgerton.
I found myself a little weepy at points in this book, which is always (for me) the hallmark of any great romance.
Cecilia's character is good and kind and open with Edward (except for, well...you know.) It was refreshing to see that kind of open sweetness. It hurt when he treated her so poorly after her brother died. I understand his reasons, of course, but it was still painful to see Cecilia so completely alone in the world.
I am very excited to see the next installment in the Rokesby series. THAT CLIFFHANGER, THO, JQ! Gah. Killin' me.
