Have you ever arm chair quarterbacked while reading a book?  Have you ever been so angry and irritated by a character while reading?  I was both with this book.

Jude Farraday made me so angry.  She is the epitome of a helicopter parent.  She doesn’t see reality and doesn’t accept fault.

It’s a sign of a good writing when you are drawn in and get emotional when reading.  This is a powerful coming of age story mired with themes of grief, redemption and forgiveness.  It’s a story of how one decision, however right it felt at the time, can alter the course of life in unimaginable ways for the person and those around them.

My only issue is that this was a pretty predictable story.  But Kristin Hannah is an excellent storyteller nonetheless.
