Geoff Johns is bringing everything, and I do mean everything, together in this epic war between the Justice League, Darkseid, and Anti-Monitor and its fun comic book goodness. There are definitely too many moving pieces but this was surely entertaining. The New Gods and the forces of Apokolips are both on full display and the war and everything leading up to it are, well, epic. Johns creates some very memorable scenes, creates some intriguing new characters, and adds a handful of twists in the first half a the Darkseid War. Jason Fabok is a star and shows off here on the art side. He delivers some incredible panels. Overall, I was enthralled through most of the book and eagerly look forward to the conclusion, hoping it can be sustained.
