i have a lot of thoughts about this book
the way it’s written is so gripping, it reads like you’re watching a film. i could VIVIDLY picture everything that was happening.
this is the second stephen king book ive read (this one weirdly references the other one i read which i found crazy) but the way that he picks up the pace and then slows right back down is so incredible.
and the way he crafts characters is so interesting.
that being said! his treatment of female villains or i guess just female characters who are morally pretty bad, in this book, seem to face sexual and physical violence from men as like i guess punishment. even though it’s not necessarily portrayed as explicit “punishment for their bad actions” it definitely feels gross and weird. i was not a fan of that at all.
