Bookworm: A Memoir of Childhood Reading
by Lucy Mangan
funny
informative
relaxing
fast-paced
A particular pleasure if, like me, you are British and born in the 1970s. I share many childhood reads with Mangan and it was a wonderful exercise in nostalgia. However I think this would interest anyone interested in children's publishing and, of course, anyone who was similarly inclined. Unlike Mangan I don't have children but like her I always been amazed that they aren't just sitting by the radiator reading like I was from 6 onwards. How do you all cope?
