The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin

3.0

The rating is based on my enjoyment and expectation of the book rather than the quality of the book itself. Diving into it right after The Dispossessed I was hoping for something more intricate and philosophical and more focused on character interactions. However, the novel is brilliant and the author does an exceptional job of creating an imagery of an alien world. More importantly, the gender neutral alien concept is very relevant and an exaggerated point of view gives great insight into the understanding of mankind’s varying nature.
