Simply not for me.

I tend to chat with my mother a lot and from my teens, she has started to share her life experiences with me. I value those talks a lot as it opens me to various things regarding life and introduces me to other parts of my mum that I haven't gotten a chance to see

As my fault, I went into the book with the expectation in line with something similar to above mentioned. Although, it turned out to be more of part rant and part memoir on stuff I felt curious to read something different than my expectations.

Only, I kept differing and doubting.
In the chapter titled Violence, the author talks about how rape is indirectly accepted in society due to the research of sociologists who deduced the possible motivations of rapists towards crime as a severe longing for power. I didn't find it to be the right way to perceive the study- understanding the whys of a matter is not always to support the activity but to find roots to stop it from occurring.

And soon later I decided to give this one up because I do not want to spend my time criticizing someone's perspectives made from reasons that aren't known to me and the author must have taken time to decide how to present the book in which case I am not the targeted audience and this book is simply not for me.
