I did not really like this book. I felt it hard to understand and keep up with— which feel purposeful as McGlue goes in and out of drunk states and nightmares and memories, haunted by ghosts that appear to him. McGlue is a classic unreliable narrator which made me have a hard time with the book. it’s so short yet I never felt swept away by the book.
