Finally I got to Mandy's story!
The changes in Mandy & her circumstances between book 2 & this book made me feel like I'd missed an entire book. That said, I really like the hero Tom. I could see that he complimented Mandy and was a big enough character to be her equal. I loved how the McClellen family got together at the end of the book; that was a neat way to end the series.
On to the Cooters. They were like roaches; you couldn't shake them and they were everywhere. That seemed rather unlikely to me. Surely you can hide from people in a wilderness!!! But I liked that Grandpappy was part in dismantling the feud and explaining family honour. Not sure how effective it will be on a bunch of criminals....
