Black Widow Vol. 3: Last Days by Nathan Edmondson

2.0

I just couldn't get into this one. Edmundson wrapped up the overarching story of these three volumes about midway through and then the rest was devoted to a snapshot from the Secret Wars event with vaguely connecting flashbacks to an incident from Natasha's past. So it was pretty disjointed and anticlimatic. Plus I was just completely over Natasha telling us how she needs to atone and can't be around people and how she's a monster. Black Widow, you were hanging out with people like the Winter Soldier and Punisher and X-23 all up and down this shit. Natasha, you've met Kid Loki, right? Deadpool? Emma Frost? Elektra? Freaking Magneto, the Master of Magnetism (and sometimes murder)? How about you settle your assassin ass down a little bit and get with the fact that antiheroes are the fucking norm in the Marvel universe and do your job and make out with Daredevil on a boat if you want, I don't care. The art was still very, very pretty though.
