This was an interesting subject matter and I enjoyed the story. The ending had me captivated (although it was getting a bit corny). And I really liked having seen the Vanessa side of things in the beginning but then getting the back story from Joan. But ultimately I got a little bored as I do with many TJR books. I’m always waiting for something to happen and it doesn’t, it’s just a relationship playing out. This one is different in that we did know Vanessa was eventually going to be up in space with a big problem but I still thought the entire back story before that would be more…. Interesting. I don’t regret reading it but I’m adding it to the pile of slightly overhyped TJR books.
