I'm continually surprised by how romance authors manage to integrate deep topics into a narrative that is also light and hopeful. Definitely look at the TWs before reading if you need to. This is an adorable romance that also deals with trauma, and trying to live fulfilling lives while healing from that trauma. I love romances like this where the characters face deep, intense issues in their lives. The realism really helps me connect to the characters and makes the HEA even more triumphant.
