She doesn't understand the moral of her own story. She talks a little about how her choice to sell herself to a prince might be unethical, but as she goes on you realize she means unless she's his favorite. It's readable enough, but Jillian doesn't endear herself to me... Usually you would hope that the main character gets her ultimate wish. But her ultimate wish is to be the wealthy favorite girl of a womanizing prince. She doesn't even seem to miss her family or regret leaving or lying to them. AND it isn't even all that scandalous!
