A beautiful retelling of Norse mytholigy from an intriguing new perspective. I enjoyed the explorations of feminism, family, and love in this book. A slow burn at first, the story really picks up around the halfway mark. That said, I really enjoyed the languid introductions and set up that the first half provided to all of the characters. Overall, a solid book that I can imagine revisiting multiple time in the future. Note: it was nice to have also read Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology prior to reading this book (knowing the mythology is by no means necessary to enjoy The Witch's Heart, but it definitely help).ed with context and timeline
