Eternal Life: A New Vision: Beyond Religion, Beyond Theism, Beyond Heaven and Hell by John Shelby Spong

I think that Spong's writing can be a little tiresome; there are long sentences and a lot of "first we shall discuss" type exposition, but his ideas are well worth the trouble. This short book takes most of its length to set the stage and get to the point; his vision is I think that of a mystic; we all have God in us all of the time; God is part of us and not separated from us; this forms the basis of the book. It is an intriguing view that will take me some time to digest.
