The Alibi by Sandra Brown

3.0

It was difficult to like the main characters from this story. Hammond, a prosecutor who makes such bad decisions it can ruin his career and life, was hard to like. As with every Brown novel, the reader is waiting for someone to step up and be the good guy. I found that it was hard thinking of him as the good guy when he continued to harbor secrets. Alex is very deceptive even with someone she likes. I have a hard time believing some of this novel. However, as always, Brown manages to tell a story that hooks you enough to want to read the next page.
