I picked this book up because I thought the "gimmick" of using fewer and fewer letters as the story goes on was a fun idea. Then I was totally blown away, not only by how the book uses this restriction beautifully but also how it is tied to the events in the story and creates a compelling narrative on the importance of being able to express ourselves.

Additionally, this anniversary edition is beautifully illustrated.
