Wow.
I started this book with very little expectations or knowledge about what would happen. I don’t think I even read the synopsis. All I knew is that it was a popular on book tok and it was over 500+ pages. As a challenge to myself I’m trying to read more 500+ page books but that’s beside the point. This book really outshone the little expectations I did have.
Everything about the vibe and the world of this book had me hooked. The author does a great job of explaining everything IN THE BEGINNING of the book (things like pronouncing etc) which is a huge plus for me. The characters had my heart from the moment they’re introduced. I loved that the side characters had a depth to them they weren’t just there to be there. They all have purposes and fun personalities.
The end of this book really takes the cake though. I don’t know how the author did it but they managed to wrap most things up and add new problems all at the same time. It made me very satisfied with the ending even though it was a cliffhanger. I still feel accomplished and not like I’m left wanting. Don’t get me wrong I’m very excited for the next book and I want it as fast as I can but I don’t feel irritated or annoyed that I have to wait if that makes any sense.
Despite for long this book is it wasn’t dragged out. It didn’t feel like the author was writing just to hit a word count. It felt like the story was progressing with every chapter and every chapter had meaning. I feel like that’s a really hard thing to do especially considering this book is over 600 pages.

Overall I’ve already recommended this book and I will continue to do so
