I would love if the book explored more of the school and the different forms of magic. There was so much potential there and I think my favorite parts of the book was when the FMC was showing off her abilities.
I feel like the book should have been longer to build more tension/ character development, but to also give it time to focus on the surrounding world.
The only reason I haven’t two stars was for the ending. I haven’t decided if I’ll continue the second book just to see how the twist plays out or not.
