The author did a phenomenal job setting up the reader— it was a slog to get through the first part of this book but it is well worth it and the author does a very good, heartbreaking job telling Sigrid’s story. As an older sister that grew up in a tumultuous home, I wasn’t expecting to resonate with this as much as I did. I unexpectedly really appreciated this story.
Graphic: Drug abuse, Suicide, Suicide attempt
Moderate: Sexual assault
Minor: Domestic abuse, Homophobia
