Ama's character was quite exhausting at times
She and the wedding planning gave me anxiety
My blood pressure went through the roof when shit hit the fan and I kid you not, I had to focus on breathing
It was loathsome being in her head because it was like reading a person with ADHD's POV and if that was the case a TW should've been given for a possible anxiety triggers
It annoyed me that she couldn't see through Whitney like are you that blind ??
I would've loved there to be a confrontation with her mom and her character development on that specific aspect due to the fact that there's obviously deep seeded issues with her mothers marriages
It annoyed me that Elliot portrayed a certain persona that exudes confidence and "idaf" but couldn't stand up for himself when it came to Ama walking him like a dog - ofc I love an obsessed MMC but at times it didn't feel like obsession but desperation and quite frankly, he did not deserve Ama , he deserved better
The incident at his moms wedding ?? You were with someone for 6 months and then suddenly you blurt out something so "!?" knowing how that person feels about that specific sentiment, I understand it was an emotional reaction but dating for a couple of months and then THAT just seemed so unrealistic. I've had talking stages for longer.
Ama didn't want a commitment but did things contradicting that which pissed me off entirely
This rating was based solely on the plot of the book and not my enjoyment because if that was the case this would be a 3⭐️ at best
