A Lady by Midnight is the third book in the Spindle Cove series.

I enjoyed Kate and Samuel’s story. The previous books in this series seemed to only mention Kate in terms of her birthmark but musically inclined. I wasn’t sure how which way the author would go with her story and was glad that we got more of her backstory and a full character that isn’t defined by her birthmark. Thorne had also been a favorite of mine from the first book and loved him in this book. They both had their flaws but loved Kate’s spirit to fight and to see the sweet side of Thorne. That he may not be good at saying his feelings but his actions always spoke volumes.

There was quite a bit back and forth towards the end that was frustrating but the ending was sweet and I loved it.

This one wasn’t as steamy as the last book but there was three encounters.
