So this started out well, but in the end really wasn't. There were some nice ideas and situations, but the book was bogged down in repetitive, redundant language and descriptions. And while the time travel didn't make much sense, I thought I'd just ignore it, willing suspension of disbelief and all that.
But the last story was the worst offender in all of those aspects and at one point went on to praise how great and functional the time travel rules are exactly when I'd been pondering the opposite again. Then it went to a sad, dark scene which I didn't like not just because it was sad, but because it was unnecessarily so and didn't even fit the overall tone of the book. Pity, with just a few changes it could've been much better.
