Mostly Jumbled Thoughts On: Light Bringer by Pierce Brown.
Light Bringer is exactly what I needed to see this series through to the end. After liking Iron Gold, but seeing a lot of what it set up seemingly discarded in Dark Age, I was skeptical about LB. This is a strong return to form with compelling character relationships and drama, excellent plotting, and THE best duel in the series so far.
Absolutely, whole-heartedly *fuck* Lysander. He's such a good villain. And so is Atlas au Raa. Atlas might be my favorite villain in the series. But Lysander might be able to take the spot in Red God. He's got such a real flaw in his hypocrisy of standards.
