riamcauliffe 's review for:
Olive
by Emma Gannon
As someone who really wants kids and can't wait to be a mum one day, I found this a really interesting read.
It's good to hear a story from the point of view of Olive who does not want kids and what it is like being at an age where the expectation is to have a family and your friends are all taking this step.
I have definitely questioned myself over things I perhaps have said to people who don't want kids and how annoying lines like "you might change your mind!" can be to them. This is where the value in this book lies - the book as a whole is pretty good and easy to ready yet slightly predictable - but it is always good to hear things from a totally different perspective.
