Priestess of the White by Trudi Canavan

So. It was not good.
I picked this book up when it was just translated in my country. It had a lot of advertising and the cover (different one than this) was amazing.
After I bought it, I heard that it was bad. And some time ago, when I first opened it, I had to agree, that it is not good.
The translation in lithuanian was pretty bad, the writing was pretty bad, the good guys were (pretty much) perfectly bland, the love stories were predictable. The book overall was hella long and had just sooo many characters and the action started pretty late.
However, it was not all that bad.
The story has some kind of planning and low-key not-too-engaging plot twists of it's own kind. I liked the concept of Mirar and the idea that the Gods are not actually all that good, though it lacked evidence.
Overall, I'm not dying to read the sequel, but it was a nice chill reading of a big fantasy book. I might read another book from the series if my 'to read' will be empty.
