Well this was interesting. I love how the author managed to not only create a new setting and story but also link it to those of the previous series. Now what I would consider as the main five were very cool characters on their own and in relation to each other (for the most part). Arthie and Flick especially have a special place in my heart (sorry Jin). Laith and Matteo were also nice but to be honest I didn't really like either of them as potential love interests for Arthie because I didn't feel like there was any real foundation for either relationship. But I guess with how the ending went Laith is definitely off the table. Also Matteo is supposed to be the Wolf of White Roaring right?? I didn't completely miss the plot on that right??? Moving on, I liked the portrayal of vampires especially the added concept of, essentially, vegan vampires. Finally, I'm really excited to see where the story is headed in the next book.
