A great book of inter-connected stories of a group of people dealing with lovecraftian horrors and the horrors of segregation and Jim Crow laws. I loved the writing style and how the scariest parts of the book are the non-fantastical parts. Take the magic out of this book and it's still scary. My favorite section. Was "Hippolyta Disturbs the Universe." It was so hopeful despite everything.
