Touchdown, Tennessee by Raleigh Ruebins
4.0

Thank you so much GRR for the arc!

This is my first Raleigh Ruebins book, and I thought it was really entertaining and kept me hooked for the whole story. I read through it so quickly. 😄

The story features a star football player, Andrew Peachel, aka Peach for short. He's got a lot on his plate with looking to get noticed by college coaches and finishing off his senior year. He's openly out and proud, but has a secret that he hopes doesn't get out. He just has to keep his head down and finish off the year.

There's only one issue: there's a cutthroat journalist who loves to dig for information from the school paper that is shadowing them for an article on the team.

Gray Gilman is also a star in his own world of academia and writing for the school paper. He specializes in shadowing people and writing articles that capture their true spirit.
He's a loner, who keeps his walls up and doesn't let anyone get too close. He's been burned too much, so he trusts nobody.

The two of them immediately hate each other, starting off with banter and arguing that just made the story *chef's kiss*.
They're both cocky, arrogant, dominant, and determined to make the other fold first.

As Gray shadows the team, he gets to know Andrew more and more, but in return, Gray is also opening up to Andrew. The time they spend together stops being just about the article and more about their growing feelings for each other.
