๐‘ป.๐‘พ: a large part of this is hallmark-level cheesy but not at all cringe!

"Love. Such a simple word for something so devastating."

๐Ÿ’ญBillionaire "without heart" and heroine with too much heart!

This was the first book that I read by Lauren without Christina in the mix and it didn't disappoint. This book has mixed reviews, so I went in with the lowest expectations. So imagine my surprise when I find myself enjoying this book!
It mixed enemies to lover's wickedness with witty rom-com sweetness. The writing delivered some intense emotions so easily. The story will make you keep going without stopping up to the very dramatic and dreamy happily ever after.
The Fine Print by Lauren Asher was a beautifully written perfect little grumpy/sunshine-opposites attract-billionaire-boss/employee romance with banter, steam and amazing feels. It isnโ€™t anything groundbreaking or new when it comes to the romance genre but does it need to be? Not necessarily.

The only way Rowan and his brothers will receive their multi-billion dollar inheritance from their grandfather is if they complete the tasks laid out for them in his will. This story focuses on Rowan's journey.
Shortly after the death of his grandfather, Rowan heads to Dreamland (his grandfather's amusement park), where he has six months to identify Dreamland's weaknesses and present a plan to the board which will determine if it's a worthy proposal. The pressure is on, and Rowan can't afford any distractions.
Zahra is an employee at the park, who was recently promoted to the position of Creator (someone who shares new ideas to make the park even more successful). Her family has worked for Dreamland for many years, which makes her incredibly in touch with the employees and guests.

Rowan - is pragmatic and has closed his heart to love because of the pain one can endure if that love is lost. So to keep people at a distance, he is cold and calculating but comes off as a total asshole. I just find pleasure in seeing men like him, who are so stoic and guarded, crumble. And crumble he did.
HE BLUSHES AND HE CRIES AND HE GOT A DIRTY MOUTH ON HIM!
Lauren did a great job weaving everything together and turning Rowan Kane (the definition of a grade-an asshole) into a literal love-sick Prince Charming in an actually believable way.

Zahra - freaking ray of sunshine and the kindest person you'll ever meet. Sheโ€™s so funny sarcastic, relatable, caring and inspiring to everyone with a depth deeper than the ocean. She was just this happy positive fun loving gal who had experienced trauma and came out better for it. Just so so so FREAKING CUTE.
Besides her relationship with Rowan, I really enjoyed seeing the friendship between her and Claire. The pin collection was so CUTE!
"What if jerks are my kink? Well, at least it explains your unhealthy obsession with Mr.Darcy." a line we all can relate to!

RowanZahra
When Zahra and Rowan first meet, sheโ€™s a clumsy mess that shows up to the meeting. She doesnโ€™t give a fuck that heโ€™s her boss and the bloody CEO of Dreamland, they have banter from the start. She continued to push him until he would smile or react. Rowan was so sassy with Zahra and was just an asshole but she kept calling him out on his shit. Rowan tries his best to ignore Zahra but he's like a moth to a flame, he can't stay away from the light. I loved the chemistry it was sizzling throughout, and I was left swooning over Rowan every single time. The banter was phenomenal.
The spice was HOT! There was so much sexual tension between them, so when they got together, it was just explosive! And their banter during intimate scenes makes things even spicier!
Rowan makes drawings for her presentations when he realizes that she can't draw at all๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜š
Zahra lends him her "Netflix" account and Rowan uses it (DESPITE BEING THE CREATOR OF SAID PLATFORM) just to see what she likes to watch!! When he realizes she's obsessed with pride and prejudice, he watches all versions of the movie ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
THE WAY HE TOOK HER TO NEW YORK SO SHE COULD SEE REAL SNOW๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ˜
AND THEN WHEN HE TOOK HER TO HER FAVORITE AUTHOR'S BOOK SIGNING WHICH HE ORGANIZED ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ
โ–ช๏ธWay to set the bar above the moon!!!
Both Rowan and Zahra carry emotional scars from their past and throughout the story, we see them grow, help each other overcome their fears, and discover who they are/what they want.

Aside from the amazing characters the book had great scenes like of course the theme park but also a spontaneous trip to New York on a private jet, bowling and pumpkin carving as part of the mentorship with her little sister. Not to mention the texting under a pseudonym part of the plot, I really enjoyed that.

Furthermore, I loved that this book addressed some heavier topics while also remaining lighthearted and sweet.
So happy to see realistic disability representation in this book. I love how Zarha's mentorship program was introduced and the friendship Ani and Rowan developed through it. One of the other relationships that made me melt was Rowanโ€™s friendship with Zahraโ€™s sister Ani, who is diagnosed with Down syndrome. They have such a beautiful relationship and their interactions always made me smile. Ani is by far my favorite side character because she tells it how it is and doesn't let Rowan get away with shit!

The epilogues were BREATHTAKING!!! I really like to see them happy with kids in the end and Lauren never disappoints. And don't get me started on the extended epilogue it warmed my heart and made me smile.

Overall, I enjoyed this book very much and rated it 4 stars and that 1 extra star is only for the banter. It was soo good!

๐.๐’ Very very interested in Mr. Declan Kane and Irisโ€™s story next. And very very very interested in picking a favorite Kane brother at the end of this. On to the next!

๐.๐’.๐’ Mr Darcy mentioned was so high that it made me want to read Pride and Prejudice again!

๐Ÿ”ธ ๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’—๐’๐’“๐’Š๐’•๐’† ๐‘ธ๐’–๐’๐’•๐’†๐’”:

"You'll learn that the best rewards come with the biggest consequences. Because nothing that great is given for free."

โ€œYou were right when you said you deserve better. You always have and you always will. But I refuse to let you go. I canโ€™t let you go because youโ€™re the one person in this entire world who makes me want to smile, and Iโ€™m too damn selfish to let the best thing in my life get away from me because Iโ€™m afraid.โ€

โ€œTruth is, Iโ€™m terrified of falling in love. But Iโ€™d rather trust you with my heart and risk you breaking it than live another day without you in my life. I want to be the kind of man that deserves a woman as beautiful, selfless, and kind as you."

"Love does make people helpless, but only because they willingly accept it. Because to love someone else means to trust them enough to not abuse the power they have over you."

"If I had a heart to give, it would be all yours. Free of cost.โ€

If this is what it feels like to be around someone whoโ€™s pure sunshine, Iโ€™ll willingly accept the burn. Every. Damn. Time.

Kissing Zahra is like reaching Heaven after an eternity spent in purgatory. Like Iโ€™ve spent most of my life hopelessly ambling around, waiting for her to show me the way back to the light. Sheโ€™s divine with enough wickedness to make a sinner like me want to pray in devotion.

Zahraโ€™s my opposite in every way that counts. I canโ€™t compare to a woman who can light up a room with her smile alone. Sheโ€™s like the sun, with everyone orbiting around her to bask in her warmth. Unlike me, who keeps people away from me with nothing but a scowl.

"Talent doesnโ€™t disappearโ€”passion does."

Zahraโ€™s it for me. I know it with everything in me, and my intuition has never been wrong before. Thereโ€™s nothing in the world Iโ€™ll find more beautiful than her. Not the sun. Not the moon. Not even the entire galaxy compares to the light she radiates wherever she goes.

โ€œLove with all your heart and show kindness in all your actions.โ€

โ€œTo the girls who dream of meeting a prince
but end up falling for the misunderstood villain.โ€

โ€œHow can we appreciate the sun every morning if we donโ€™t live through the dark?โ€

โ€œLife's too short to hide who you are because you're afraid of getting hurt.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll never stop being greedy when it comes to Zahra. She will always be the exception to any rule and the one person Iโ€™m willing to screw the world over for. Because if sheโ€™s not happy, Iโ€™ll ruin whatever stole her smile, myself included.โ€

โ€œYou like me," I blurt out.
"No. I tolerate you more than most people. That's why I want to date you,โ€

โ€œI'm not sure what I did right in my life to deserve your love, but I'll stop at nothing to protect it.โ€

โ€œIf you want to play with fire, then prepare to be cremated.โ€
