Loved it! A nice, straightforward, easy read filled with lyrical descriptions, excitement, and passion. I’m glad Sam the dog was avenged. The scene where Phalinger lay dying reminded me so much of the moving scene in War and Peace where Andrei is lying wounded on the battlefield at Austerlitz where they both notice and marvel at the sky and nature and realize their love for life.
