This book was unnecessarily harsh. It was really hard to read about Romy's struggle, lonely, traumatized, and alone, and then to have that exacerbated by extraordinary cruelty preying on her vulnerability was awful. There was nothing in this book that redeemed it at all except maybe the idea of a girl alone in space
