What the fuck?!

This book was way better than I thought it would be.

Verity’s manuscript had me on the edge of my seat and I started to feel anxious with her as much as Lowen was. The way Verity painted the picture of a terrible mother who was obsessive with her husband was so captivating and I just kept waiting for the shoe to drop.

I honestly believed she was this terrible woman and I was just waiting for her to attack Jeremy and Lowen out of jealousy, but I never suspected it to all be a writing exercise.

The fact that Jeremy also knew the whole time about the manuscript and believed his wife was this terrible woman who couldn’t move was insane. Could only imagine the range of emotions that man would be feeling.

Also understandable why Verity was so disappointed in Jeremy. The fact that he actually didn’t even remotely question the manuscript might not be true makes me wonder if he actually paid attention to his wife. Or maybe the amount of grief he was feeling clouded her judgement.

I honestly believe the manuscript wasn’t real, and it would make sense for it to be a writing exercise since she ended up with so many best sellers.

This book was just so good. Once Lowen read the manuscript for a third time I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going on and I couldn’t even remotely guess the ending.

This is my first Coleen Hoover book I’ve ever read and if she has more like this I might just need to check them out.
