Shikhandi: And Other Tales They Don't Tell You by Devdutt Pattanaik

4.0

Devdutt Pattanaik tells us the more often unheard stories from the Mahabharata in this book. Right from the take of Shikhandi and his/ her physical abilities to their emotional well being is dilineated. This book is a good example of what topics the society labels as taboo but should be talked about in order to make a more inclusive safer society for transgender people. I would definitely recommend this book for allies of the LGBTQIA community as we all could benefit from learning more about the more marginalized sections in society for a better tomorrow.
