Murder at the Seven Dials by Cara Devlin

4.0

I enjoyed this Regency era historical mystery with unique elements: a marriage of convenience, a heroine who sees visions of the past when she touches objects with her bare hands, a snarky street urchin named Sir, and simmering sexual tension between the two leads. The characters are well drawn, the era highlighted perfectly, and the mystery was twisty, full of adventure with an exciting denouement. I wished for a bit more romance between Audrey and Hugh, but maybe it’ll develop in subsequent books.
