It is intelligently researched and made relatable by the connections she draws between a flat part of land and her own upbringing and complex PTSD. It's combines something unnoticed in nature, disregarded as important, and gives it a voice, a feeling, a pause for thought and reflection in a deeply personal and visceral way.
