She Was Mine by Marie Skye

5.0

She Was Mine didn’t just break my heart. It completely shattered it. I absolutely love anything Marie Skye, and this is definitely the series of 2017 for me. But seriously, I was not ready for this book. I cannot say goodbye to Grayson and Emmalin, so I won’t. I am just going to keep reading the series, over and over, until I can bear to let go.

Grayson is the epitome of the dirty talking, alpha dominant male. Emmalin is his sassy but sweet minx who is the other half of his soul. Their lives are never lacking sensation or catastrophe. In the synopsis of She Was Mine, it is written that “Nothing ever came easy for them”. Ain’t that the truth! as a reader, I felt everything, cried at it all, laughed some more, and felt completely wrung out by the end. Never have I felt so content or fulfilled at the end of a book quite like I was at the conclusion of the Incapable series.

She Was Mine was presented to the reader in typical Marie Skye style, with many twists, characters going to any lengths to get what they want, and a never ending amount of heart stopping moments, only to be followed up by moments where I could breathe easy. The thrills and spills were almost too much to bear, but if anyone would have said to me to take a break, I would have ripped their heads off!

Marie Skye took me to unimaginable heights with the Incapable series. She Was Mine was a raw and stunning instalment into the fast paced, constant mayhem and some of the most heated and erotically charged love scenes I have ever read.. There is no limit to the creativity this author puts out there for us lucky readers. The talent is so high and complex, I cannot think of a word to aptly describe it. I sound like a crazed fan, but that is the kind of passionate response Marie Skye rips from me so effortlessly. I am a slave to this type of story and the genius that wrote this incredible book and turned it into my favourite series this year. 5 stars for Marie Skye and endless praise for She Was Mine and the spellbinding Incapable series.
