Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson

4.0

I enjoyed this a lot. It is sanderson at his best. A 4* review is not a poor showing. But for me, I never really believed that Jasnah was dead, or that the king or Dalinar were going to die. Sanderson hates killing off his main characters, and no doubt he will prune off some of main characters eventually, it does remove the tension from the text somewhat.

I think the death of Sadeas was a bit anticlimactic, but we'll see where the fallout of that leads.

Without worry and fear for the characters lives, this is still a great book, but it's hard for me to call it exceptional. I am naturally going to continue on immediately because, as usual, the world building is rather excellent.
